A parking disc is a small card or disc that is placed on the dashboard of a vehicle to indicate the time at which the vehicle was parked in a certain spot. Parking discs are often used in areas where parking is limited to a specific time limit, and vehicles must display the disc to show when they arrived in order to avoid a parking ticket. The disc is usually set to the time of arrival by rotating a dial or moving a slider, and must be clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle. Failure to display a parking disc or exceeding the time limit indicated on the disc may result in a fine or penalty.
